Biographical Summary:

A station manager who enlisted in the AIF on 7 July 1916 understating his age by two years. He embarked for Egypt on 3 February and arrived on 11 March 1917.

He joined the 1st Light Horse Regiment on 31 May 1917. In September 1918, he was detached to AIF Headquarters in Cairo after his fitness level was downgraded due to myalgia.

He embarked for Australia on 13 March and arrived on 19 April 1919 and then was discharged from the AIF on 24 May 1919. [JSB]
