Biographical Summary:

A shipping clerk who enlisted in the AIF on 17 July 1917. He embarked for England on 8 May 1918 and arrived on 10 July 1918.

He joined the 20th Battalion in France on 4 October 1918. In January 1919 he was transferred to the AIF Headquarters in London where he performed staff duties with the Department of Repatriation and Demobilisation.

He embarked for Australia on 22 November 1919 and arrived on 12 January 1920. He was discharged from the AIF on 4 February 1920. [JSB]
