Biographical Summary:
A carpenter by trade who was serving with the Royal Australian Engineers at Georges Heights at the time of his enlistment in the AIF. He embarked for overseas service in November 1915.
He served with the 6th Company Field Engineers and was wounded in action on 5 August 1916. He was evacuated to England where he remained until returning to his unit in February 1918.
He returned to Australia in July 1919 and was discharged soon after. [JSB}
