Biographical Summary:
Harold Hattam Graves Wilkinson landed at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915 with the 4th Battalion. He was wounded in action on 21 May 1915 and was evacuated from Gallipoli to Alexandria for treatment of a shrapnel wound to his scalp. After his discharge from hospital he was transferred to AIF Headquarters, then in Egypt and later at London, with which he remained for the rest of the war.
He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal “in recognition of valuable services rendered in connexion (sic) with the war”. [JSB]
