Biographical Summary:
Landed at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915 with the 2nd Battalion. He was wounded in action on the same day. In August 1916 he was promoted to Corporal and soon after was promoted to Sergeant and then Second Lieutenant.
He was wounded a second time on 9 April 1917. After treatment in England, he returned to his unit in late August 1917. He was killed by a sniper at Broodseinde Ridge, Belgium on 4 October 1917. [JSB]
