Biographical Summary:
A Captain with the Royal Australian Engineers at Georges Heights, Mosman who was appointed to the AIF on 1 May 1916. He embarked for England on 22 May with 4th Australian Tunnelling Company and arrived on 18 July 1916.
In August he moved from Englnad to frontline service, then in September he was transferred to the 13th Field Company Engineers.
He was killed in action on 26 September 1917 near Zonnebeke, Belgium while undertaking liaison and forward reconnaissance with the 13th Infantry Brigade. [JSB]
