Biographical Summary:
Killed in action on 15 October 1917 near Zonnebeke. He was a battalion runner and died from gun shot wounds.
His battalion suffered very heavy casualties in the First Battle of Passchendaele on 12 October 1917 and over subsequent days, until it was relieved on 19 October.
His widow received one of the Lest We Forget cottages built in Quakers Road, Mosman. [JSB]
