Biographical Summary:
A school teacher at King's College, Goulburn prior to his enlistment in the AIF.
He was wounded in action on 30 March 1918 in his battalion's counter-attack at Hangard Wood as part of the defence of Villers-Bretonneux during the German Spring Offensive.
On 22 August 1918, the 33rd Battalion was part of the 9th Brigade's attack which succeeded in moving the front line closer to the village of Bray-sur-Somme without achieving the objective of its occupation. He was among the 17 members of his battalion killed that day. [JSB]
