Biographical Summary:
One of 50 members of the 45th Battalion missing in action following the Battalion's participation in the Battle of Messines. He went missing on the first day of the battle. A Court of Inquiry in April 1918 formally found that he was killed on 7 June 1917. His body was recovered after the war and buried at Messines Ridge British Cemetery. [JSB]
