Died: 4 October, 1917
Biographical Summary:
Served at Gallipoli. The effects of being knocked over by an exploding shell while at Gallipoli in July 1915 led to his return to Australia in May 1916. He was found to be again medically fit in August 1916 and left Australia for the second time in November 1916 to rejoin the 1st Battalion.
Killed in action on 4 October 1917 during the 1st Battalion's attack at Passchendaele.
