Stanley Russell
(Confirmed)
Born: 5 February, 1895
Died: 1 March, 1968
Biographical Summary:
Stanley Russell (aka Stanley Weyman Russell) served with the 10th Field Company Engineers and was wounded in action on 10 February 1918. After treatment in hospitals in France and England, he departed England for Australia in August 1918.
His next of kin was his cousin Elizabeth Ann Luke who was a nurse at a private hospital in North Sydney. This changed when he married Eva Lillian Holden at Harwich, Essex on 17 September 1917.
He had no apparent direct connection with Mosman prior to 1930, however, it is likely that he had a relative who lived in the area. [JSB]
