Biographical Summary:
James Gordon McKern B.E. : Lieutenant, Tunnelling Corps, A.I.F., France. Enlisting 8th May, 1916, and sailing 25th October as second lieutenant, crossed to France in January, 1917. Becoming seriously ill in February, was invalided from No. 24 General Hospital, Etaples, to 3rd London G.H. and thence to Australia, being demobilised in January, 1918, after seven months in Randwick Military Hospital.
