Biographical Summary:
Joined the AIF in April 1915. He was wounded on 24 August 1915 while at Gallipoli. He was evacuated to Malta and then England for treatment of a bullet wound to his right cheek. He returned to Australia in April 1916 and was discharged from the AIF in August 1916.
He continued to serve as a recruiting sergeant.
He died of influenze in 1919.
He was the brother-in-law of Harry Richards who was married to his sister Ethel Hamilton. [JSB]
