The Herbert Kent listed in the Sands Directory from 1902 up to 1919 as residing at Thorndon, 37 Harbour Street, Mosman is his father Herbert Richard James Kent (1861-1922).  This is confirmed by a newspaper notice for his daughter Elsie's marriage (Sydney Morning Herald, 9 October 1915, p16).

The H R Kent listed in the Sands Directory from 1919 to 1924 as residing at Bond Street is presumably Herbert Richard Kent whose name appears on the Mosman War Memorial.  [JSB]
