Biographical Summary:
Enlisted in the AIF in August 1916. He joined the 10th Field Artillery Brigade in France on 19 October 1917 and was wounded in action six days later. He was evacuated to England until he returned to his unit in March 1918. He was gassed on 14 April 1918 and evacuated to England where he remained until his departure for Australia on 20 November 1918. [JSB]
