Biographical Summary:
Roy Lindsay enlisted in the AIF in August 1915. He embarked as a reinforcement for the 33rd Battalion in August 1916 and arrived in England in late September 1916. He was assigned to the 9th Training Battalion. As a result of medical conditions he was classified medically unfit and returned to Australia in November 1917. He was discharged in February 1918.
He initially named his mother, who lived at 66 Spit Road, Mosman, as next of kin rather than his wife Norma. [JSB]
