Biographical Summary:
Enlisted in the AIF in May 1915. He served with the 3rd Battalion at Galllipoli and France. He was wounded on 27 July 1916 at Pozieres. After treatment in France and England, he returned to Australia and was discharged from the AIF in May 1917. He returned to the UK on the SS Borda in August 1918 as a war worker. [JSB]
