Biographical Summary:
Son of the Reverend Henry Percival Healey (1855–1916) and Rose Ann Healey née MacArtney (died 1893).
Husband of Irene Healey née Kennedy (married 1911, Mosman). They had two children.
Killed in action, Battle of Fromelles. H.Q. Signaller section. "We had gone over on the 19th, held the German front line trench all night, and retired in the early morning of the 20th. It was on this morning, about 7.0 that Healey was killed" – Pte Lickis 4378. "He was hit by a machine gun bullet… He was on the parapet of a sap in the German line, which we had dug" – Pte Sarratt 2950. Body not recovered.
Brother of Henry Percival Healey (died of wounds, Gallipoli), Ernest Francis Healey (wounded 25 April, Gallipoli, paralysed for life) and Stephen William Healey (wounded, Pozieres).
Lived in Manly, but close connections with the Kennedy family in Mosman. Brother-in-law Pte Percy Kennedy was in Healey's section at Fromelles and may have witnessed his death.
