Killed in action on 25 October 1916 while his battalion was defending the front line at Le Barque (Ligny-Thilloy, Pas-de-Calais, France).
Husband of Phyllis Daisy Coutts, of Daceyville. Youngest son of Laurence T. Coutts, Stanmore, and Mrs. Coutts, Mosman.
His mother lived at Bray Street, Mosman (Sands Directory, 1918).
