Elizabeth Agnes Duval (1886 Redfern - 13/6/1963 Chatswood) married (i) 20/2/1907 at Mosman to Thomas Agar Newell (1884 Sydney - 1979 South Australia) (ii) 1950 North Sydney to Norman Chippendale Stapledon (8/4/1880 Adelaide - 21/8/1962 Sydney). Elizabeth had a daughter by the first marriage and a son (he died 1917) and a daughter by the second marriage.
2. Walter Thomas Duval (1888 St Leonards - 24/8/1970 St Leonards married 1912 at Mosman to Elsie M Morgan (1888 Melbourne - 1968 St Leonards. They had a son John claude Duval (1913 St Leonards - 1/5/2009) and a daughter Elsie May Duval (1912 NSW - 9/11/1998 Ryde).
3. Dorothy Kezia Duval (2/9/1995 St Leonards - 111/5/1963) married 1927 at Ashfield to William George Hilliard (later Bishop Hilliard) born 29/5/1887 Redfern died 1/3/1960 Parramatta. They had a daughter Margarte Anne Hilliard who died 4/6/1934 at Summer Hill.
5. Gladys May Duval (1897 St Leonards - 22/4/1931 Neutral Bay) married 1921 at Sydney to John Arnold Lenehan (1896 Toorak - 29/8/1961 Marrickville). They had 2 daughters, one survived.
6. Adeline Amy Duval born and died 1898 St Leonards.
7. Edith Eena Duval born Mosman February 1903 and died October 1903.

Frederick William Duval enlisted 25/9/1916 at the age of 26 years. He was a sanitary engineer who had been apprenticed to R H Mashford at North Sydney for 7 years. His next of kin was his father Thomas William Duval of 124 Military Rd, Mosman. He had had no previous military service. 5' 3 1/4", 124lbs, medium complexion, grey eyes, light brown hair, C of E.

20/6/1917 to France.
20/6/1919 back to England.
30/7/1919 RTA per "Persic".
10/10/1919 Discharged.
The only item of note in his service was forfeiting 2 days' pay for exceeding the speed limit in a lorry without a lookout man in the back. He appears to have suffered no wounds or ill health. A fortunate man.
