Born: 1 January 1870
Died: 9 July 1938
Awarded the Military Medal for distinguished service at Gallipoli.
The recommendation reads:
"Was one of those who volunteered for the reconnoitering patrol, which went out from Pope's Hill in the daylight on May 9th. He was the only member of the patrol who was not either killed or wounded. He passed backwards and forwards under fire between the post and the patrol with messages and stores and finally assisted to bring in his wounded comrades under fire.
Again on August 21st, he distinguished himself by cool and daring scouting work done during the crossing of the KAIAJIK DERE."
