An architectural draftsman who enlisted in the AIF on 20 January 1916. He embarked for England on 11 July and arrived on 9 September 1916.
He joined the 1st Field Company Engineers at Bazentin, France on 26 February 1917. He was wounded (back) in action on 12 June 1918 and evacuated to England for treatment and convalescence.
He embarked for Australia on 20 April 1919 and arrived on 11 June then was discharged from the AIF on 26 July 1919. [JSB]
