Died: 1 January 1948An actor who enlisted in the AIF on 14 December 1916, stating his age as 44 which was an understatement by four years. He embarked for England on 11 May and arrived on 19 July 1917.
He commenced training in England as a reinforcement for the 7th Medium Trench Mortar Battery. In February 1918 he was transferred to a holding unit in anticipation of his return to Australia for discharge due to "senility".
He embarked on 12 May 1918 and arrived on 7 July then was discharged from the AIF on 7 August 1918. [JSB]
