An agricultural college student who enlisted in the AIF on 8 October 1916. He embarked for England on 11 May and arrived on 19 July 1917.
He joined the 7th Field Artillery Brigade on 17 September 1917. Starting in February 1918 he had treatment for bronchitis resulting in his evacuation to England on 27 March 1918 for further treatment and convalescence.
It was decided that he should return to Australia due to his "debility". He embarked on 24 August and arrived on 13 October and then was discharged from the AIF on 29 October 1918. [JSB]
