An accountant who enlisted in the AIF on 15 May 1916. He embarked for England on 30 September and arrived on 19 November 1916.
He joined the 2nd Divisional Ammunition Column on 7 January 1918.
He embarked for Australia on 31 March and arrived on 14 May 1919 and then was discharged from the AIF on 24 June 1919.
His brother, John Edward Ferdinand Deakin, who had served in the AIF became his next of kin in 1917. [JSB]
