My grandfather Ronald Arthur McFadden was brother to Janet Henley. Ronald was known to all as Roy. He served with the "Fighting Thirteenth" Battalion at Gallipoli in 1915 and fought in France from 1916 on, returning home in 1919.
His brother Cleland George McFadden fought with the 42th Battalion and was recommended for a Military Medal.
Brother Robert Joseph McFadden of the 45th battalion was killed at Messines and is remembered on the Mosman Memorial.
A fourth brother, Walter Alexander McFadden served with the 10th Battalion in France.
"Clounties" [55 Dalton Road] was my great grandmother's home in Mosman although she had been a resident of Singleton for many years.
Would love to find out more about my grandfather's brother-in-law and his immediate family he left behind.added by bern
