Paul Henry Trimble enlisted 17/3/1915 when he was 18 years 2 months. He was a bank clerk, next of kin father Alexander Trimble 7 Heydon St, Mosman. He had had 4 years in the Cadets and had previously been knocked back for military service on the grounds of insufficient chest measurement.

5' 8 1/2", 124 lbs, chest 28" - 30 1/2", complexion (sallow) fresh, blue eyes, black hair, C of E.
8/8/1915 wounded gun shot wound to thigh and right foot, bomb wound left ?arm. Wounded at Lone Pine he was described as dangerously ill.
29/8/1915 sent to Malta per "Neuralia", then to England per "Italia".
4/10/1915 admitted to No 3 Western General Hospital Cardiff.
8/5/1916 "Themistocles" from England.
18/9/1916 discharged.

Taken prisoner by the Japanese in WWII. He died while a POW.
